Blooming Escapes' Mission
As consummate givers, women continually offer their time and energy to others, leaving their own needs for rest and relaxation unmet.  But women need to take time to recharge their minds, souls and bodies, sustain bonds with friends and find an outlet to fuel their creative fire; if they don't, internal chaos ensues, stress builds, health suffers and relationships flounder.  That's why Blooming Escapes was founded.  Proprietor Kerry Griffin has made it her mission to help women help themselves without feeling guilty.  By offering girls' getaways and creative retreats, she is enabling women to commit uninterrupted time to scrapbook, quilt, bead, stamp, etc. and be with others to feed their creative soul and learn from one another or just take the time to recharge, re-energize, rejuvenate and refresh.

Kerry left Corporate America to be able to dedicate more time to work on her husband's small landscaping business and to their two young kids.  Moving through each day in automatic, she missed the creative and fiscal challenges and responsibilities of her career, but knew she didn't want to return to the corporate world.  Seeking flexibility, the ability to set and achieve her own goals, and a way to rekindle her creative soul, Kerry knew an entrepreneurial venture was the way to go.

She frequently brainstormed ideas for her own business.  To her, the perfect business was one that would allow her to feel good about what she was providing and something that would help others.  Finally, the idea of a girls' getaway retreat, where women could create together and feed one another's creative soul, sprang to life.  Her business is one where women can relax, play, have fun with their friends, refresh and rejuvenate their spirit, and return home with a new outlook, attitude and balance of life.
